In response to the uncertainty caused by the ongoing COVID‐19 pandemic, RoboCamp@RIT is proud to announce a scholarship program called “Fund-A-Camper”. In this program, you could fund a camper(s) by making a donation towards a seat(s) in RoboCamps. Your donated seats will provide a limited number of need‐based scholarships to enable students (grades 4 ‐10) to participate in the 2020 camp season. We believe that RIT faculty, staff and the community will support this program so that students in need can also be part of the RoboCamp camps and follow their dreams in STEM education. Each camp cost $300.
RoboCamp scholarships will be awarded to qualified applicants on a first come, first serve basis. The scholarship process will be handled by the RIT K-12 office as described in the attached scholarship application. Please feel free to forward the application to families who may qualify for the scholarship or any institutions that are working with under-privileged groups. The number of scholarships available will be determined by funding received from community sponsors. Scholarships will cover the full cost of one week of camp. Each applicant may only receive one scholarship (i.e. multiple weeks of camp for one student will not be funded through this program).
