For Advanced camp, the general age group of students registering is from 5th to 10th grade (this is not a restriction). Here the advanced principles of robotics are taught using Lego robots to students. Students work in teams and are required to complete tasks every day based on what they have learned. The students are taught mechanical design principles (speed and torque), new programming concepts and applications of using these robots. We have volunteers and instructors helping and guiding the students. The instructors are RIT Graduate Students, and the volunteers are RIT undergraduates and high school students with experience working with Lego Robots.
The camp is from 9 AM to 4 PM from Mon- Friday. We provide Lunch, but if the student has specific needs, food allergies or restrictions, we recommend parents to provide them with lunch.
